Warranty & Extended Warranty Terms & Conditions

As standard all products come with a 12-month parts only warranty - unless specifically stated otherwise - i.e. Clearance or End of Line products lines.

The customer may, when available, purchase an extended warranty to cover 12 months parts and labour, or 24 months parts and labour. Extended warranty may be purchased at the same time as the purchase of a product.

Purchase of any additional warranty product is optional. We provide services under additional warranties for your product subject to the terms set out below. Please read these terms carefully before you purchase any Warranty product. If you have any questions regarding these terms, please contact us to discuss. Information about us and how to contact us:

12 MONTHS PARTS ONLY WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. A parts only warranty allows you to use an approved service provider to assess your item for fault (at your own cost), and submit a full engineers report to Host, within 30 days of the reported fault. Once approved, the parts can be sent to your business address, or an engineer can be booked to deliver and install. We reserve the right to refuse the release of parts if we suspect fraudulent claims or claims outside the scope of warranty.
  2. The period in relation to which we will provide services to you under the 12 Month Parts Only Warranty will begin on the day you purchase the item and will end at 23:59 on the first anniversary of the Purchase Date.
  3. Host will attempt to expedite all parts requests but lead times may vary.
  4. Certain products must be returned to us, or 'Back to Base' for installation of replacement parts. If this is the case the buyer is responsible for the cost of sending the product back to our warehouse, and for return postage of the product - the cost of replacement parts will be covered under the parts only warranty, a price for required labour will be provided to the buyer before any work is undertaken.
  5. If the product is found to have no fault, they will be returned to the customer at the customer's cost - this also applies to poorly maintained products.
  6. Host is not liable for any losses or damages suffered by the Customer, including but not limited to damage to neighbouring or connected items or premises, consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of time due to the use or purchase of the Goods by the Customer. Host will not be liable for any additional damage caused by the Customer's failure to report a fault or defect in good time.

EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

Purchase of the Extended Warranty is optional.

OUR CONTRACT WITH YOU

  1. You may order the Extended Warranty from us at the time of goods purchase via our website.
  2. Subject to clause 7, once we have received your order including the Extended Warranty, we will send an e-mail or letter to you confirming our acceptance of your order. The contract for the Extended Warranty between you and us (the “contract”) will only be formed when we send you this confirmation.
  3. If we are unable to accept your order for whatever reason (including, but not limited to, your failure to meet our eligibility criteria as set out in clause 7 below), we will inform you of this and (and in any event within 14 days) refund any amounts that you have already paid to us.
  4. Our order confirmation email to you will contain your order number. It will help us if you can tell us this number whenever you contact us about your Extended Warranty.

    1. you must be at least 18 years old;
    2. the product must be owned and kept by you;
    3. the product must be purchased and operated in the UK.
  2. We are only able to provide an Extended Warranty to addresses in mainland UK.

DURATION OF SERVICE

  1. The period in relation to which we will provide services to you under the Extended Warranty will begin on the day you purchase the item and will end at 23:59 on the first anniversary of the Purchase Date (in the case of 1 Year Warranty) or the second anniversary of the Purchase Date (in the case of the 2 Year Warranty) (the “Extended Warranty Period”). Scope of the extended warranty.

REPORTING A DEFECT

  1. If your product has a mechanical or electrical defect which is clearly attributable to material and/or manufacturing faults (a “Defect”), you should report this Defect to us immediately after you identify it via the Warranty Form on www.host-appliances.com/repairs.
    For us to process any such report, you must give us all information that we reasonably require to verify your report and to determine, to the extent possible, the Defect that has occurred.
  2. If you report such a Defect to us in accordance with clause 10 and within the Extended Warranty Period, we will (at our sole discretion) either repair or replace the product, subject to you providing to our satisfaction: (i) valid proof of purchase, (ii) proof of servicing history (where applicable).

REPAIRS

  1. Products will be repaired at your place of business and, unless agreed otherwise, we will carry out any repairs within normal working hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and excluding public holidays). Your Order Number must be provided in each case. Any replaced parts will pass into our ownership.
  2. Where we need to enter your premises to repair a product, you must ensure that the product is accessible and in an environment in which it is safe to work on.

REPLACEMENTS

  1. If we elect to supply a replacement product, we will bear the costs of delivery of the replacement product and removal of the defective product. Unless agreed otherwise, the defective product will become our property and we will dispose of it.
  2. If (for whatever reason) we cannot replace the defective product with a new version of the same product, we reserve the right to provide a replacement product of the same or similar technical specification.
  3. Where we supply a replacement product, we reserve the right to charge an appropriate monetary offset in respect of the period of proper and uninterrupted use already enjoyed.
  4. Please note, if we replace your product, this contract will automatically come to an end. This will not affect your normal statutory rights.

EXCLUSIONS

  1. The Extended Warranty does not extend to:

    4. the chemical or electrochemical effects of water.
  2. This Extended Warranty does not apply to any consequential loss or damage, whether caused by a Defect or not, including, but not limited to, damage to property other than the product, spoilage of goods, the cost of purchasing a replacement product or removing and re-installing an integrated or bespoke-fitted product or loss or damage caused by installation and assembly not in accordance with our instructions, improper use, poor maintenance or failure to observe operating or assembly instructions.
